What the fxxx?
I spotted this at our local park the other day and my sense of humour was tickled. What is going on here? The way I see it here are a few options:

1. Their mouths have been washed out with soap so many times that even when vandalizing they can't bring themselves swear without censoring,

3. They've heard of the F word, but they don't actually know what it is.

2. They can't spell.

I'll leave it to you to make the call...

Not a bad read so far but it's very much a book where I need to see how the author wraps it up before I can come to a verdict.

Editing

I know the day is going to be slow when I wake up with a headache. More water, more caffeine, more sleep? Who knows.

Working on edits for my book coming out with The Wild Rose Press. Not sure on release date. The trouble with editing is you already know how the story ends. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to launching my first book out into the world.

This is an older book (1989), written before there were a lot of light urban fantasy that had witches in a positive light. She stopped writing these because of lack of sales, if they were being launched now I think they would have a lot more success.

Eyeballs ache

Worked hard out over the last few days editing, eyeballs are now aching from too much screen time. I feel like it should be Friday - but it's only Wednesday. Still, at least it's almost lunch time.

How desperate would you have to be to drink hand gel for its alcohol content - is it just me or does this rank up there with meths & petrol?
I think if you find yourself mixing hand gel in with your orange juice just to get through the day, then it's a sign you need to re-evaluate your situation and stop drinking.

Nalini Singh, author of the totally fantastic Psi/Changling series, is doing a countdown on her blog for her new GUILD HUNTER series with some great prizes. You can get a taste of the world when eBook ANGEL'S PAWN comes out on Feb 24th, then March 3rd the new book ANGEL'S BLOOD is out.

I got a sneak peak at the first chapters of ANGEL'S BLOOD and I was frustrated beyond words that I didn't have the rest of the book there and then. I own all Nalini's Psi/Changling books and look forward to filling my shelves with her new series - plus of course the next Phi/Changling instalment BRANDED BY FIRE.

Valentines Day

Valentines day - it should be the international holiday of romance writers everywhere :)
I had a lovely Valentines day with Hubby - actually we spread it over the whole weekend - I mean why wouldn't you?

Valentines day is a good time to think about what makes the perfect fictional hero (as well as what makes a perfect partner). Check out this group of authors talking about the ideal hero...

For me the hero has to have some sharp edges, be that little be untamed; but when it comes to his one special lady she gets to see a side of him that no one else does - a softer side. Oh, and he has to be smart; if the heroine can't be TSTL (too stupid to live) you better believe he's not allowed to be either. There's a lot more to it than that and I could probably list characteristics till the cows come home (and not having cows that could be a while) but that's the definition that leaps to mind.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone and I hope your valentines was filled with great men (real or fictional).
